Greg Arsenault

Cranston High School East, Cranston, RI

Greg Arsenault is in his third year as Director of Bands at Cranston High School East, in Cranston, RI, having previously served for 13 years as Co-director of Bands and 9 years on the staff of the Thunderbolt Band. At Cranston East his duties include Directing the Thunderbolt Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and the winter Indoor Percussion Ensemble. In addition, Mr. Arsenault teaches Music History, Music Theory, and Percussion class.
A 1996 graduate of Rhode Island College, Greg received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education, with a concentration in percussion. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2002 with a Master of Music in Music Education, studio composition concentration. Greg also attained a Master Certificate in Music Production and Technology from the Berklee College of Music Online School in 2015.
Mr. Arsenault’s groups have won numerous awards including USBands 2018 New England Regional Division 1 Open Champion, 2015 WGI New England Regional Scholastic Marching A Champion, 2015 NESBA Champions in Scholastic Marching AA Division, Overall Highest Score and Superior Rating – Music Festivals, Williamsburg, VA, 2014 US Scholastic Band Association Division 2 New England Championship, 2005 and 2006 Rhode Island Percussive Arts Society Festival Championship, as well as receiving excellent and superior ratings at the annual Rhode Island Music Education Association Band Festival.
Mr. Arsenault is excited about working with some of the best young musicians in Rhode Island. A lifelong Rhode Islander, he currently lives in Cranston with his wife, Rebecca, and their two sons, Lucas and Nathan.
